The new era of rise: The journey of creating new lands rich in potential (Part 12)
Formed by the merger of communes with strong revolutionary traditions, craft villages, and cross-border economic development, My Quy, Binh Thanh, and Tan Tay are poised to become new areas abundant in potential as they embark on their journey towards shaping a prosperous future.

My Quy commune - a potential breakthrough from the border trade gateway

My Quy commune was formed from the merger of 3 communes: My Quy Dong, My Quy Tay and My Thanh Bac, promising to open a new, brilliant chapter for this land rich in tradition. Covering a natural area of 132.98 square kilometres, My Quy boasts diverse landscapes ranging from vast fields to key arterial roads connecting different regions. With a population of 28,537, it forms a united community rich in cultural identity. The name "My Quy" is not only a legacy of local history but also a source of pride for the people as they embark on their journey towards a prosperous future.

The highlight of My Quy commune is its strategic location, with its headquarters located in My Quy Tay commune, where the main road directly connects to My Quy Tay International Border Gate. This golden advantage opens the door to vibrant trade, positioning My Quy as a potential centre for commerce and logistics.

The commune’s development orientation focuses on border economy, industry, construction, and notably border tourism. Historical and cultural relics alongside attractive natural landscapes will serve as vital resources to attract visitors to this heroic and affectionate land.

My Quy’s development vision aims to fully exploit the advantages of its border gate, establish modern industrial zones and logistics warehouses, while simultaneously developing commercial support services and cultural tourism. This will not only enhance residents’ income but also contribute to overall development, affirming its important role as a regional “bridge”.

Binh Thanh commune - Advancing high-tech agriculture and new rural construction

Binh Thanh commune was established on the basis of merging 3 communes: Tan Hiep, Thuan Binh (from Thanh Hoa district, when it had not finished operating at the district level) and Binh Hoa Hung (from Duc Hue district, when it had not finished operating at the district level). After the arrangement, Binh Thanh commune has a natural area of 132.41 km², a population of 10,690 people. This figure not only indicates abundant labour potential but also reflects the harmonious integration of three lands under one Binh Thanh roof.

With a development focus on high-tech agriculture linked to agricultural processing and trade services, Binh Thanh opens the door to a modern, sustainable rural economy, generating high added value and improving people’s living standards. The planning and construction of a new administrative centre along Provincial Road 839 through the former Thuan Binh commune is a strategic move to enhance infrastructure, attract investment, and beautify the new rural landscape.

The locals, who have long been attached to the fields, now carry a renewed belief – belief in a modern rural society where agricultural products not only reach local markets but also enter global value chains; where trade and services create new career opportunities for the youth; and where each road and bridge built is associated with a dream that takes flight. Binh Thanh’s strategic vision also includes building a smart agricultural ecosystem connecting production with markets and developing logistics services supporting agriculture.

Binh Thanh – a new land with new aspirations – is ready to write golden chapters with the hands, minds, and hearts of its people. With the determination and unity of the entire political system and residents, this commune is expected to soon become a leading locality in new rural development.

Tan Tay commune - Modern agriculture blends with traditional craft village heritage

Tan Tay commune is formed from 3 communes: Thuy Dong, Tan Tay, and Tan Dong, with a natural area of 113.45km² and a population of 19,438 people. The new Tan Tay commune has great potential in terms of land, human resources and a tradition of diligent labour. With a focus on high-tech agriculture, Tan Tay aims to become a modern production centre linked to the agricultural processing industry, enhancing product value, expanding markets, and improving residents’ living standards.

Particularly, the traditional Mai flower cultivation craft village is a source of pride for Tan Tay. The development orientation towards community tourism, leveraging this strength, promises to make Tan Tay an attractive destination. The combination of modern agriculture and preservation of traditional craft villages will create a unique tourism product, bringing dual value to the locality.

Tan Tay Commune today is not only a name on the administrative map but a convergence point of aspirations, blending tradition with modernity, inhabited by people who love their homeland and are dedicated to bringing bountiful harvests and vibrant springs. It stands as a typical example of effectively harnessing local potential and applying scientific and technological advances to create new values and elevate the quality of life./.
