Nhon Hoa Lap commune – Land of golden rice and sweet fruit orchards
Formed from the merger of three communes rich in tradition – Nhon Hoa Lap, Nhon Hoa, and Tan Lap – the new Nhon Hoa Lap commune opens a promising new path for nearly 20,000 residents towards a prosperous and sustainable future. Spanning a vast 109.77km², it brings together the lifeblood and communal strengths of three regions, creating a powerful synergy.
Building on that solid foundation, Nhon Hoa Lap commune is set to become a hub of high-tech agricultural production, where endless green rice fields and fragrant fruit-laden orchards, delivering substantial economic gains.
Looking ahead, Nhon Hoa Lap commune continues to cherish the aspiration of becoming an appealing orchard eco-tourism destination. Visitors will be immersed in the lush greenery, experience the simple, authentic Southern Vietnamese lifestyle, and discover the peaceful, quietly profound beauty of the land.
The name “Nhon Hoa Lap” was retained to honour the historical roots of Tan Thanh district’s formation – a symbolic “red thread” connecting past, present, and future. It pays tribute to the pioneers who first settled and built up this land, while reaffirming the community’s determination to uphold tradition and build a prosperous homeland.
The current administrative headquarters is located in Tan Lap – a strategic central location chosen for its accessibility and potential to drive economic, cultural, and social development, offering the best possible service to residents and fostering a happy, fulfilling life.
It is widely believed that this land will soon thrive, with flourishing rice fields, fruit orchards welcoming visitors from near and far, and ever-improving livelihoods for local people.
Nhon Ninh commune – Poised for a powerful transformation
Nhon Ninh commune was established through the merger of Tan Thanh, Tan Ninh, and the former Nhon Ninh. Covering an expansive 92.67km² and home to over 27,000 people, the commune is a land full of promise, destined to become a rising star in the local development landscape.
This land is the crystallisation of three distinct origins, each with its own story and identity. Tan Thanh, home to nearly 7,700 people, is known for its strong tradition of hard work; Tan Ninh, with over 8,700 residents, is a vibrant centre of trade and services. Meanwhile, Nhon Ninh, with a population of more than 10,700, is a fertile agricultural area where green fields stretch as far as the eye can see.
The merger is thus a convergence of historical, cultural, and economic values, forming a new administrative unit full of vitality and potential. The name Nhon Ninh was preserved as a nod to the past – it was once the first name given to the district upon its founding – symbolising a bridge between history and future development.
Nhon Ninh is oriented for growth with Tan Ninh set as the core for commerce and services. Bustling roads, markets, and service centres will not only boost trade but also enrich the community's cultural life. Simultaneously, the commune will prioritise the development of high-tech agriculture to enhance productivity, protect the environment, and improve crop quality.
Placing the administrative headquarters in Tan Ninh is a strategic decision, not only does it boast a strategic geographical location, but it also offers opportunities for balanced development across economic, cultural, and social spheres. With increasingly modern infrastructure, convenient transport links, and a dense population, this area is poised to become a vital hub — radiating new vitality across the Nhon Ninh region and shaping a fresh, promising landscape.
Tan Thanh commune – A dynamic heartland with fertile fields
Formed by merging the former communes of Kien Binh, Tan Binh, Tan Hoa, and Tan Thanh township, the new Tan Thanh commune spans a vast 118.45km² and is home to 25,869 residents. It represents the confluence of culture, history, human endeavour, and growth potential.
If Kien Binh is characterised by its expansive fields, winding green canals, and thriving agricultural zones, then Tan Binh carries “the breath” of traditional craft villages. Meanwhile, Tan Hoa — the most populous area — is a bustling and vibrant hub of commercial activity.
Meanwhile, the former Tan Thanh township once served as the administrative heart, where the modern rhythm of life coursed through its quiet streets. Today, these diverse elements come together in harmony to form the new Tan Thanh commune.
Tan Thanh is being developed into a dynamic hub for commerce and services, while continuing to build on its agricultural strengths through the adoption of advanced technology. Strategically located at the centre of the district, it houses the offices of the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee. With complete administrative infrastructure and well-developed facilities, the commune is ready to leap forward. More than just a place for residents to settle and thrive, Tan Thanh is becoming a magnet for investors and businesses, playing a key role in the province’s overall growth./.
