The Standing Committee of Long An Provincial Party Committee agreed with the Standing Committee of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee on the time to merge provincial-level organizations, agencies and units into operation from July 1, 2025.

On May 29, the Steering Committee for Promoting State Budget Collection in Long An Province held a conference to assess the status and results of state budget revenue for the first five months of 2025, as well as to outline directions and tasks for the remaining months of the year. The conference was attended by Mr. Huynh Van Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy, Head of the Tax Department of Region XVII.
