A solid pillar of the economy: Building the future from Party's will, people's heart, and businesses’ strength
On the journey to create new values and promote the common prosperity of the country, the private economic sector has been affirming its pioneering role, being an important endogenous resource for growth and innovation. In Long An, the private economic sector is not only a component of the economy but also a solid pillar, making great contributions to the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) and the state budget revenue, creating hundreds of thousands of job opportunities, directly contributing to improving the quality of life of the people, promoting local socio-economic development.

Building the future from Party's will, people's heart, and businesses’ strength

Resolution 68 opens a new era of development for Long An Economic Zone with expectations of growth, digital and green transformation. Future prospects and enthusiastic recommendations from the business community will be the driving force to create a comprehensive environment, bringing Long An Economic Zone to new heights, especially in the context of forming a new potential Tay Ninh province after the merger of Tay Ninh and Long An provinces.

Opening up many prospects

With ambitious goals of an average growth rate of 10-12%/year and a large contribution to GDP and the budget, the private economic sector is expected to become a core driving force. To realize this, enterprises need to turn technology and preferential policies into powerful leverages, promote research and development, improve productivity and create profound added values, promote the formation of large private corporations capable of leading the market and reaching deep into the global value chain.

The banner presented by the provincial leaders is both a worthy recognition and a motivation for the Provincial Business Association to continue to help the business community and Long An private economy make a stronger breakthrough

Global integration and meeting strict market standards require Long An private enterprises to embark on the path of digital transformation and green transformation. This is not only a trend but also an inevitable requirement for enterprises to improve their competitiveness.

Incentive policies from Resolution 68, especially encouraging investment in research and development and supporting capital and land, will be valuable resources to help businesses accelerate the process of automating production, applying green technology and modern digital systems, towards an efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly business model.

Taking advantage of its strategic geographical location, synchronous infrastructure and abundant labor resources, the province aims to develop key economic sectors such as processing industry, high-tech agriculture and logistics. In particular, the vision of merging Long An and Tay Ninh into a new growth pillar opens up a large space for the development of the private economy.

The new Tay Ninh province will be a comprehensive economic picture, creating a large space for innovative business models, inter-regional value chains, attracting large-scale investment, bringing the private economy of the whole region to a new height with a breakthrough momentum.

Desire to create a favorable and transparent investment and business environment

To turn those expectations into reality, the Long An business community has sent heartfelt recommendations to the provincial government, hoping to create a truly favorable and transparent investment and business environment. Although Long An has achieved impressive achievements in the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) and Provincial Green Index (PGI), businesses still crave a deeper and broader administrative revolution. They proposed establishing a special working group to review and simplify land, investment and construction procedures, and at the same time effectively implement the "one-stop" mechanism with online public services throughout the process. An effective monitoring mechanism, publicizing the results of handling recommendations and strictly handling harassment and negative behaviors are also urgent requirements to eliminate the matrix of procedures and legal risks.

The Provincial Business Association and the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association are always important partners, accompanying the province's socio-economic development

Access to resources is the lifeblood of enterprises. The Long An business community especially recommends increasing support for capital, land and high-quality labor. It is necessary to strengthen the connection between banks and enterprises, organize investment promotion forums to introduce Long An's potential to domestic and foreign funds as well as effectively implement capital support programs from the central and local governments.

Regarding land, the province needs to proactively allocate clean land funds in new or expanded industrial parks for small and medium-sized enterprises and innovative enterprises, and at the same time publicize and transparently disclose planning information. To improve the quality of labor, enterprises recommend promoting the three-way cooperation relationship between the State - schools - enterprises, encouraging enterprises to participate in developing training programs that are close to actual needs and have attractive policies to attract talented people and good experts.

Chairman of the Provincial Business Association - Trinh Van Hai expects: “The Long An business community has strong faith in Resolution 68, considering it a strategic boost for the overall development of the province. The development of enterprises will lead to a strong wave of investment, creating tens of thousands of new jobs and increasing budget revenue, thereby promoting remarkable economic growth.

The breakthrough of enterprises also activates supporting and service industries, forming a vibrant business ecosystem, spreading benefits to the entire local economy. With a great vision, the business community expects Resolution 68 to make Long An a bright spot in the national economy, a symbol of sustainable development and prosperity in the future, turning hope into concrete actions so that Long An becomes a successful model.”

Public-private partnerships and continuous dialogue are the foundation for sustainable development. Enterprises hope that regular dialogue forums between provincial leaders and associations will be held regularly, not only to listen but also to inform the government about new policies and plans, creating consensus. The role and real power of business associations need to be enhanced so that they can truly become an effective bridge, gathering recommendations and criticizing policies.

Finally, building a strong team of entrepreneurs with sufficient qualities and capacity to meet the requirements of the new period is a key task. Resolution 68 especially focuses on training and fostering a team of entrepreneurs with ethics, advanced business culture, strong political will, intelligence, dynamism, creativity and aspiration to rise up.

According to the Chairman of the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association - Duong Long Thanh, many young people are very creative and passionate but still face two difficulties: lack of management experience and resources. In terms of human resources, Long An still lacks technology talent, especially in the fields of software, AI, and data analysis - while this is the core for creative startups. To retain talented people, there must be a quality environment. More importantly, there must be a real ecosystem - where the government, businesses, schools, and support organizations join together. There needs to be a place for sharing - mentoring - capital support - market connection.

"I recommend that the province try to research a Long An Innovation Fund - compact but with clear criteria to accompany young startups. In addition, there needs to be a Digital Startup Support Center - where entrepreneurs can learn, experiment, and connect. If done, Long An will become one of the ideal destinations for young entrepreneurs, not only from Ho Chi Minh City but also from the whole West" - Mr. Duong Long Thanh suggested.

To create a breakthrough development, close cooperation between the government and the business community is a prerequisite. When “Party’s will - people’s heart - business strength” combine, Long An’s private economic sector will certainly take off, not only contributing significantly to the province’s sustainable development but also reaching the regional level, especially in the context of forming a new and potential Tay Ninh province./.

Resolution 68 has illuminated the development path of Long An’s private economic sector, shaping a new era with three solid pillars. Firstly, the outstanding growth prospect, promoted by Resolution 68 and the vision of creating a new Tay Ninh province, will open up a large and potential development space.

Secondly, strategic recommendations from the business community to remove administrative barriers, improve access to resources and promote public-private cooperation, creating a strong driving force for innovation.

Thirdly, the indispensable key factor is to build a strong team of entrepreneurs - those with a pioneering spirit, leading Long An’s private economic sector to break through and create the future. All of these create a clear and colorful development map, guiding the long-term development journey of Long An Economic Zone.
