In recent times, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of the province has been implementing digitalization projects and programs to contribute to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of management and advising the Provincial People's Committee to solve issues related to natural resources, environment and agricultural production, notably, the construction of a land records system and a land management database on a digital platform; installation of an automatic monitoring system to monitor, supervise and manage the environment, weather developments, natural disaster forecasts on a digital platform, etc.
In addition, the application of software to handle administrative procedures and electronic document software has also been deployed and directed by the department. Currently, most of the documents of the departments and units under the department have been exchanged on the administrative document management system combined with digital signatures on the software. Thereby helping to shorten the time for processing work, reduce costs, improve productivity and work efficiency and professionalize the working style in serving people and businesses.
Director of the Provincial Center for Irrigation and Clean Water - Trang Tan Tai said, Currently, the center maintains 35 automatic water level measuring stations and 13 automatic salinity measuring stations on main rivers and canals, serving the monitoring and forecasting of hydrological situations, supporting the management and operation of the irrigation system.
At the same time, 12 automatic monitoring stations have been installed to monitor and supervise the quality of surface water, groundwater and air, monitoring data is continuously sent and received on Envisoft software to help management agencies assess, forecast and propose management directions, environmental protection plans for each area conveniently, easily and accurately.
According to Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment - Phan Van Cuong, in recent times, the department has focused on directing, deploying, and synchronously implementing tasks and solutions to promote digital transformation work in the entire sector; advising on the development and promulgation of basically complete legal and guidance documents to serve the work of building and developing e-government, digital government, digital economy and digital society in the field of agriculture and environment. The department also focuses on investing in and upgrading information technology infrastructure, perfecting application systems and shared digital platforms according to the digital transformation roadmap for the period 2021-2025. The work of building and developing specialized databases has been promoted, ensuring seamless connection and data sharing between the department and its affiliated units, related departments, branches and People's Committees at all levels. In addition, the department will strengthen the implementation of online public services at the full level, promote the digitization of administrative procedures, contributing to improving the quality of service for people and businesses and improving the efficiency of management and operation in the entire industry.
According to the plan, in 2025, the sector will continue to upgrade the public information system on water resources and the environment, serving the updating and exploitation of data in the database on water resources and minerals.
