Starting construction of Vo Van Tan Secondary School

On May 19th, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Duc Hoa District, Long An province, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Vo Van Tan Secondary School in Duc Hoa town.
Attending the ceremony were former Politburo member, former State President - Truong Tan Sang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - Hoang Dinh Can; Vice Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa; and former provincial leaders.

The project has a total investment of up to 207 billion VND. Of which, Duc Hoa District’s budget is 147 billion VND, the rest is contributed from the companionship and sponsorship of Thanh Long Group Joint Stock Company.
Vo Van Tan Secondary School project has a designed scale including a 3-storey main building, including 45 theory classrooms, 13 subject classrooms and auxiliary works.

Speaking at the ceremony, former President Truong Tan Sang emphasized that the Vo Van Tan Secondary School project not only contributes to solving the urgent need for facilities for teaching and learning in the locality but also demonstrates the concern and responsibility of the government and businesses for the cause of education and training of future generations.

Also at the ceremony, Chairman of Duc Hoa District People's Committee - Le Thanh Phong emphasized the important significance of the project for the development of education in the area; at the same time, directed relevant units to urgently coordinate to implement the construction on schedule and ensure the quality of the project.

It is expected that upon completion, Vo Van Tan Secondary School will meet level 1 standards on facilities according to Circular No. 13 of the Ministry of Education and Training, serving more than 2,000 students, contributing to improving the quality of education and training in the locality./.
