Launching Workers' Month
The launching ceremony of the 14th Workers' Month and the response to the 9th Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene was organized by the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor on April 19, 2025, continuing to affirm the role, position and contribution of the working class in the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland, being the pioneering force in the cause of national renewal, creative labor, confidently entering the new era.
At the same time, the trade union organization will do a better job of representing, caring for, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; promoting the attention of Party committees, authorities and the whole society in building a modern, strong Vietnamese working class, and a strong Vietnamese trade union organization.

With the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneering in entering a new era", this year's Workers' Month has received deep attention from Party committees, authorities, employers and enthusiastic response from a large number of union members and laborers. This is not only an opportunity to express gratitude and honor the great contributions of the working class but also an opportunity for unions at all levels to affirm their role in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of workers.
Before the launching ceremony, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized many practical activities such as visiting union members and laborers in difficult circumstances and suffering from serious illnesses; starting the construction of 35 union shelters; organizing the Labor Safety and Hygiene contest, the online contest "Learning about the 2024 Labor Law and the 2024 Social Insurance Law"; etc. These activities not only provide material support but also demonstrate companionship, sharing, and motivation for employees to feel secure in their commitment to the enterprise and the labor union organization.

Towards workers and laborers
In the 14th Labor Month Launch Ceremony and in response to the 9th Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month, the Provincial People's Committee presented 9 gifts out of a total of 20 gifts to workers who suffered from work-related accidents and injuries of 61% or more, each gift worth 2 million VND in cash. The Provincial Labor Federation presented 100 gifts out of a total of 5,300 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances in the province (each gift worth 1 million VND); a symbolic plaque to present 5 union shelters to workers facing housing difficulties out of a total of 46 houses, which were disbursed for construction in the first 4 months of 2025 (each house worth 70 million VND).

According to the plan, after the launching ceremony, activities in response to the Labor Month continued to take place enthusiastically. Union levels focus on implementing union welfare programs, signing collective labor agreements, organizing direct dialogue forums such as the May Dialogue, 'Party with Workers - Workers with the Party', 'Thank You to Workers' program, 'Workers for Enterprises - Enterprises for Workers' forum, etc.
In addition, activities to honor exemplary workers, compete in creativity with the creative workers movement, confidently entering the new era; peak month for union development, establish of grassroots unions; introduce and develop party members as workers, provide legal advice, support workers facing difficulties in life and work, etc.
Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor - Nguyen Van Qui emphasized: "In order for the Labor Month to be truly effective, all levels of the Union need to promote the sense of responsibility, creativity and flexibility in organizing activities, taking the Union and workers as the center. Accordingly, Union and workers need to proactively study, improve their skills, promote initiatives and improve techniques.
Each person is a "soldier" on the patriotic emulation front in enterprises, agencies and units. Unions at all levels proactively advise Party committees, authorities and employers to mobilize all resources and implement practical programs for workers, especially those in difficult circumstances and those who have suffered work-related accidents and serious illnesses".
In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor also launched a peak emulation campaign to develop union members and establish new grassroots unions from April 1 to May 31, 2025; effectively implement patriotic emulation movements such as Excellent Workers, Creative Workers; promoting initiatives and technical improvements, etc to discover, honor and replicate advanced models, creating a strong influence in the business community and the whole society.
The spirit of Labor Month will spread strongly, becoming a year-round activity, attracting the attention of trade unions at all levels to organize. With a high sense of responsibility, flexible, creative and grassroots-oriented working methods, trade union organizations are affirming their central role in protecting the rights, accompanying workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
Labor Month 2025 continues to affirm itself as a great festival for workers - where workers are listened to, shared, honored and given more motivation to firmly step forward in the journey of development and integration of the country./.
