Long An exports agricultural products abroad

Referring to Long An agricultural products available in the world market, we cannot forget dragon fruit. Currently, the province has over 10,300 hectares dragon fruit with the annual output of over 200,000 tons. Dragon fruit is mainly supplied to Chinese market (80%), other markets: Japan, Thailand, USA, Australia, etc. account for about 5%, and the rest is consumed in the country.

Currently, total output of banana in Tay Ninh and Long An is over 4,000 tons/year, of which 40% is exported to Japan. In addition to Japanese market, the Company also exports this fruit to China and Malaysia, while is negotiating to sell to Korea.
Long An rice comes to the international market
In addition, rice is also a popular item in the world. Currently, there are 21 enterprises which are allowed to export rice in the province. From beginning of 2018 to present, rice export enterprises bought 815,000 tons of paddy, up 4% over the same period in 2017.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee – Pham Van Canh said that the producers should change the thinking of production by movement to by cooperation, association, and complying with guidelines of functional agencies on the implementation of planning and safety production procedures. Besides, encouraging activities of innovation, creativity and application of science and technology to production and business, enhancing material and technical investment for research, and transferring science and technology must also be performed./.
