Happy Roads in Long An
As a "bridge" between the Southeast and the Mekong Delta regions, Long An has not only the appearance of a dynamic young industrial capital but also poetic and peaceful characteristics of Mekong Delta region.

Visiting the countryside of Long An, tourists can enjoy flower-filled roads, vast green rice fields, fragrant lotus ponds and eye-catching melaleuca forests. These roads that have been cared by the gentle hands of the people, and over time have become beautiful destinations, making visitors from near and far eagerly look forward to once setting foot on them.

Moss Rose street in My Thanh hometown

The reason this road is referred to as the "Happy Road" is because the Moss Rose carpet covering the 300m long dyke was cultivated and cared for year after year by an old farmer and his wife. This is also the joy of their twilight years. The house at the end of the road is their home sweet home.

Although he and his wife are old, their generous souls and romantic hearts are still young. They love beauty to the utmost, just like the spirit of living close to nature, happily and freely.

From the Provincial Martyrs Cemetery, I followed the roundabout and turned toward Tan Tru district, arrived at Lac Tan intersection and asked for directions to My Thanh hometown and Nhum bridge. The people here are simple, kind, smiling and give dedicated guidance. The road is small, but in return, along both sides are vast rice fields. Take the opportunity to wake up early, visit Tan An City for breakfast and then leisurely set off on the road, so when you arrive, the Moss Rose bloom at ten o'clock, resplendent in the middle of extremely poetic green rice fields.

The rustic beauty of Ong Do Nghi Street

Not far from the Moss Rose street from My Thanh hometown is the road that Tan Tru district socialized to implement rural traffic criteria in building new rural areas with a special highlight of two rows of King areca trees running through rice fields, creating a poetic, rustic beauty that is also extremely attractive.

It is known that during the construction of the road, union members, youth in the commune and residents planted more than 200 areca trees along both sides. After a long period of care and preservation, the two rows of areca grow lush and green.

During harvest days, when plowing and weeding are tired, farmers often sit and rest under the areca trees, relaxing with the wind and immersing themselves in nature and scenery. Not only that, couples in love in the hamlet and town still choose this place as an ideal date spot. That's why this road is humorously called "The Happy Road" by people in the area.

Every time visitors come from far away, they tell each other about the romantic road, so more and more young people travel many kilometers to come here to feel the feeling of peace and gentleness when walking down one of the most beautiful roads in the province.

Unique road through Melaleuca forest in Tan Lap Floating Village

Although appearing in Hoang Thuy Linh's MV Banh Troi Nuoc, few people seem to know about Tan Lap Floating Village Ecotourism Area. But that is also why this place still retains its wild appearance with the characteristics of the Melaleuca forest ecosystem.

From Tan An City, turn onto Highway 62, heading to Moc Hoa district, we drove about an hour to reach the welcome gate of the tourist area. After parking and buying tickets at the reception house, the group was taken to the forest by taxi.

From afar tourists can see the watchtower. Standing there, you can have a panoramic view of the forest.

When we set foot on shore, we were immediately stunned by the 5km long asphalt road leading deep into the Melaleuca forest. It is quite a winding road and seems to evoke something mysterious. If you go in a large group on the weekend, you can bring snacks and drinks to experience a picnic in the forest.

Tan Lap floating village is also a place that many couples choose to take wedding photos. Therefore, the path through the forest also automatically becomes "The Path of Love" or "The Happy Road".

If you're tired of the dust and crowds in luxurious cities, try going down the beautiful roads in Long An to mingle with nature, feel the simple things in everyday life, and listen to your heart and soul./
