Long An – Entrepreneurs’ meeting in the province
On the occasion of the celebration of Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day, October 13th, 2019, the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long An province solemnly organized a meeting of entrepreneurs in the province.

Over the past time, the business community of Long An province had continuous development and integration with the general development trend of society. Many entrepreneurs have actively participated in social programs, poverty reduction programs, gratitude programs and programs for community.

Currently, the province has more than 1,000 foreign direct investment projects with registered capital of over USD 6,149 million; more than 1,900 domestic investment projects with registered capital of nearly VND 215,700 billion; the total number of enterprises registered to do business in the province is over 11,200 enterprises with a total registered capital of nearly VND 290,500 billion; 16 industrial parks in operation with an occupancy rate of about 85.26%, 22 industrial clusters in operation with an occupancy rate of about 86.55%.

Long An is currently the leading province in the Mekong Delta region in terms of investment attraction, industrial output and state budget revenue collection; the economic growth rate of Long An province is always quite high compared to the average rate of the country. In the first 6 months of 2019, following the development of previous years, the province's socio-economic situation continued to create important breakthroughs, the province's gross domestic product (GRDP) was estimated at VND 39,679.26 billion (at 2010 comparative price), the growth rate of 9.89% and relatively high in all 3 sectors.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Tran Van Can affirmed that the provincial leaders pledged to accompany enterprises with practical actions and solutions. The province also focuses on directing to have a strong innovation in state management associated with building e-government and improving the investment environment; maintains dialogues to promptly solve difficulties for businesses, and so on.​

On this occasion, 7 collectives received the excellent enterprise gold cup, 42 collectives with outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement in 2018 received the emulation flag and certificates of merit from the provincial People's Committee./.
