
Coastal road project
On November 24, Director of the Department of Transport and Transport of Tien Giang province - Tran Van Bon informed that the central government had just approved the policy of opening a coastal road connecting western provinces to Ho Chi Minh City.
The project has the starting point from Binh Thoi 1 bridge (Binh Dai district, Ben Tre), goes along the coast, parallel to Highway 1, then intersects with Highway 50 at Go Cong Tay (Tien Giang), continues to the end point intersects with My Loi bridge (Go Cong Tay, Tien Giang) through Long An to Ho Chi Minh City. The project is divided into two phases with about 90 hectares of land to be cleared and completed from 2021 - 2025.

Coastal road in the future
When this route is completed, vehicles will easily move from Tra Vinh through Ben Tre, Tien Giang, Long An to Ho Chi Minh City, shorten the distance by tens of kilometers, contributing to load sharing, reducing congestion, accident for Highway 1 and Highway 50.
In addition, the project of the dynamic backbone connecting Tien Giang - Long An - Ho Chi Minh City has just been approved, completed in the period of 2021 -2025, will create regional connection and motivation for the local development.
