Kien Tuong Town is the center of Dong Thap Muoi Region in terms of many factors in which economic factor plays an key role in the general development of Dong Thap Muoi Region. The Town has Binh Hiep International Border Gate to exchange the goods with Kingdom of Cambodia, National Highway No. 62 running through to facilitate the transportation of the goods. The existing Moc Hoa Market is planning to upgrade into Kien Tuong commercial center to play the leading role in service sector of not only Kien Tuong town but also the entire Dong Thap Muoi region. The east of the town adjoins to Moc Hoa district, the west adjoins to 2 districts of Vinh Hung and Tan Hung, the north adjoins to Kongpongro district, Vray-vieng province, Cambodia (the length of 26.164 km), the south adjoins to Tan Thanh district.
