The Mekong River Delta promises to be an attractive destination for investors as well as tourists
Representatives of the leaders of provinces, cities, departments, agencies, branches of Ho Chi Minh City and 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong River Delta with more than 200 guests attended the event.
This conference within the framework of the series of events "Tourism Connection Forum of Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong River Delta 2019" was held from September 4 to September 5 by Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and Ho Chi Minh City Center for Trade and Investment Promotion.
According to the Organization Board, there are currently a total of 179 projects calling for investment in the fields of culture - sports - tourism - entertainment of the region. In particular, Ho Chi Minh City has 51 projects, the Cluster of Tourism Development Cooperation in the Eastern of the Mekong River Delta - the Eastern Cluster of the Mekong River Delta (including 6 provinces of Dong Thap, Long An, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Vinh Long and Tra Vinh) has 36 projects.
The cluster of Tourism Development Cooperation - the Western Cluster of the Mekong River Delta (including 7 provinces such as Can Tho City and the provinces of An Giang, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau) has 92 projects.
Representatives of local leaders answered questions of delegates
Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Center for Trade and Investment Promotion - Nguyen Tuan informed that the invitation of domestic and foreign investors, enterprises explored the potential of projects on investment environment, preferential policies as well as special attention of local leaders to have strategies and plans in investing in the fields of culture - sports - tourism – entertainment infrastructure of Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong River Delta.
Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Thap province - Nguyen Ngoc Thuong shared that the provinces of the Eastern Mekong River Delta (Dong Thap province as the head) with the available potential promising to bring efficiency to investors. Hopefully, new businesses and investors learn as well as units that have come to invest to continue exploiting and promoting investment projects in the fields of culture - sports - tourism - entertainment to develop together.
At the same time, he wishes to receive information to better understand the requirements and aspirations of investors and commit to creating the most favorable conditions for investors to successfully implement the project.
According to the Director of the Department of Culture - Information - Sports and Tourism of Bac Lieu province - Cao Xuan Thu Van, if they continue to be properly invested, tourism of provinces and cities in the Western Mekong River Delta Cluster (Bac Lieu province as a Head) will continue to "take off and reach out". At the conference, businesses invested in projects related to the fields of culture - sports - tourism - entertainment to share their remarks and assessments about the development potential of Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong River Delta.
