CPI in October of Long An increased by 0.48%
Compared to the previous month, among 11 commodity and service groups, 6 groups had CPI increased: Transportation increased by 1.49%; garment, headwear, footwear increased by 1.27%; food and catering services increased by 0.8%; housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials increased by 0.52%; other goods and services increased by 0.33%; Post and telecommunications increased by 0.16%.
There are 3 groups having CPI decreased namely drinks and cigarettes decreased by 1.32%; culture, entertainment and tourism decreased by 0.67%; household equipment and appliances decreased by 0.17%. The group of medicine and health services and education has a constant CPI.
Causes of CPI increase in October 2019: The impact of African swine cholera decreases the supply of pork which has resulted in pork price increased by 10.05%; gas price increased by 7.42%, gasoline price increased by 3.12% according to world price.
In addition to the causes of CPI increase, there are some reasons to restrict CPI in October 2019 as follows: Prices of fresh chicken and ducks decreased by 1.75% and 2.57% respectively, beef decreased by 0.24 % due to abundant supply; electricity price decreased by 0.49% due to the reduction of consumer demand in the month.
Average CPI in the first 10 months of 2019 increased by 2.69% over the same period in 2018. CPI in October 2019 increased by 1.74% compared to December last year and by 1.72% over the same period last year. /.
