Long An and Leipzig city signed a cooperative Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
The leaders of the two localities expressed their deep interest in specific areas that Leipzig and Long An could cooperate together in the coming time, especially in the development of sustainable agriculture, cooperation in developing supporting industries, mechanics, automation, renewable energy, environmental technology, cooperation in education at high school, university and post-graduate levels, vocational training combined with promoting cooperation in the field that Leipzig is in needs. At the same time, they connect to promote investment, trade promotion, promote goods trade between the two localities.

At the end of the talks, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee – Mr. Pham Van Ranh and Ambassador – Mr. Nguyen Minh Vu witnessed the signing ceremony of the cooperative MOU between Vice Mayor of Leipzig city – Mr. Uwe Albrecht and Vice Chairman of Long An provincial People's Committee – Mr. Pham Van Canh. The signing of the cooperative MOU between Long An and Leipzig is an important event, opening up new prospects for strengthening comprehensive cooperation on many fields between the government and the people of the two localities, contributing to strengthening strategic partnerships between Vietnam and Germany.

According to the working agenda, the delegation organized a conference to promote investment and connect Vietnamese and German enterprises. Thereby, Long An province introduced its potentials, advantages and investment environment to the German business community. This contributed to attracting investment from potential businesses in Leipzig in particular and these from the Federal Republic of Germany in general in the coming time.
